Disney Infinity releases new level based on… Bioshock Infinite? Badass
Disney Infinity comes with a large amount of content out of the box, but the real joy lies in creating your own games and environments in the Toy Box mode. In fact, Disney is releasing new Toy Boxes on a regular basis for fans to explore, and this week's update features a floating city that looks just a little bit like something you may recognize from Bioshock Infinite.
The Toy Box is called “Toy Columbia,” and the official press release states that it's “a sprawling city in the sky with infinite possibilities.” See if you can spot how this city was inspired by Bioshock Infinite.
I know when I played Irrational's look at how the idea of American exceptionalism leads to oppression and racial violence I thought “What a great opportunity for a crossover with Disney's Up,” but I'm also crazy like that.
I have nothing else to add, other than that this is amazing, especially as an official, slightly winking, release. It's great to see the designers of Infinity really having fun with their own tools, and hopefully this is the first of many video game inspired Toy Boxes to come.
