How the failings of SimCity and Comixology show we’re not ready for a digital future
ComiXology is a digital comic distribution service. SimCity is a digital game experience. Where the two overlap - reliance on working, functional servers - and the problems the two experienced due to extreme popularity show we're not ready for a digital future. If the always-online trend in gaming continues, maybe we need a warning label. "Note: You are not actually paying for this game; you are paying for the chance to play our game when and if our servers allow it."
