Industry vets weigh in on how to change public perception of gaming at GDC
Video games continue to be brought up in the wake of violent acts, despite there being no definitive proof that violent video games cause violent behavior. With regards to games, the perception can be just as important as the reality. Former Epic Games president Mike Capps, Georgia Tech professor Ian Bogost, and freelance scriptwriter Daniel Greenberg have some ideas how to change that, however.
The three men presented 10 common perceptions surrounding the industry yesterday at GDC, and offered helpful perspectives on gaming's public image. I
