Less stuff on the screen! Why the HUD needs to go

It's always fascinating to see how games give you information. I remember playing King Kong back in the day, and I loved how the world showed you everything you needed to know. Modern games are pushing this idea as well, at least a few of them are, and it's a good way to remove the "game" bit from pieces of entertainment that want to feel real.

This is a good look at how some games try to feed you information in a way that fits the world, and I hope more games attempt some of this stuff. Also, it's another reason Metro: Last Light is amazing. Seriously, have you played that thing?
