Tremendous Child’s Play Riches
With the kind of pressure I exert in the post for others to donate, I feel a strong compulsion to strike with decisive force. Here’s this year’s Haul, then, now en route to Newfoundland and Labrador‘s Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation:
NHL 11 (PS3)
NHL 11 (360. These seem like good bets for a northern hospital? Maybe?)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (This game rules, you’ll see.)
Nintendo DS Lite, Cobalt & Black (Necessary.)
Nintendo DS Lite, Crimson & Black (Same.)
New Super Mario Bros
I’ve seen Gabriel the Younger in the office with his own DS, utterly transported by the portable Lego titles, and it seemed like something in that vein was gonna be a must. Also, New SMB is good stuff, but it also has a huge pile of multiplayer minigames you can play tournament style off a single cart. Games with a secondary, discoverable payload of that kind always strike me as sound, strategic purchases for Child’s Play.
This is donation phase one, as I suspect the auction at the Child’s Play Dinner this year is going to be, um… expensive. And expansive. It will be expensive precisely because it is so expansive.
