Twitter is changing again, because it's fundamentally incompatible with human nature. If you're curious about some of the new options, we go into some of the particulars here.

I respect the attempt and agree that there exists a Twitter that enables profound abuse, but I don't have high hopes because of the underlying forces at play. Brenna once agreed with someone online, and because people can't read, or they can and don't care, or they care but the human body reduces cognitive load and therefore caloric output by the hard application of biases toward not thinking, they lashed out at her with brutality and threats of exile. I work here, and have since '98, so I sorta know how it works - God only knows what's been abraded away, what I'll never get back. But civilians aren't like this, which means I sat with her on the stairs for a while and tried to assure her that she wasn't (in fact) monstrous and that this wicked weapon, these gruesome distortions of our social apparatus, were designed so that they might, possibly, at some indeterminate point and via an imaginary mechanism, make a person we have never met rich.

I'm not sure it helped but I certainly felt better.

No Twitching from 2-4 today, BUT it's the finale of our hashtag sponsored, deeply official Vampire: The Masquerade chronicle Seattle By Night, so if you were waiting to jump in when you can devour the whole thing that time is nigh.  Just start in with the YouTube Playlist, or (as is most common with our shows) sink your dull, useless human teeth into our podcast. In a couple days, today's finale - which runs from 4pm to 6pm PST on Twitch - will show up on all the other places, and you'll be whole. I'm talking psychic nourishment. We put together something really special here, and it pleases me to welcome you in.

(CW)TB out.
