I think Saros is a super fun game whenever it isn’t trying to tell me whatever this story is. The bullet hell gameplay is really well done and if that’s all the game was I would probably love it, but they have layered in this inscrutable story that I find completely uninteresting and unnecessary. Jerry and I often say that something is “too grand for chicken” when trying to explain that a thing can be simple and great without needing an extra layer of gravitas. I will keep playing it, but that is how I feel about Saros.
I beat Pragmata and highly recommend it. I ended up going back to 100% a few of the levels and ended up spending about 15 hours with the game which I think is solid. I know for some people that will be too short but I would spend more than that just to take my family to the movies and that’s only three hours. It’s nice to actually roll the credits on a game occasionally. Also it feels like a game from another era before everything was an open world map fucker, a Souls Like or a Roguelite. Pragamta is genuinely new and I loved it.
I’ve been playing a bunch of Forza Horizon 3 as I wait for 6 to come out later this month. I have played them all extensively but I keep coming back to 3 because of the amazing map. If the person in charge of sending out review codes for Horizon 6 sees this, Mike Racecar would love one! He cannot read or write so he will not be able to do an actual review but I would be willing to paraphrase his thoughts here on the site.
