Years in the making, Ziply Fiber has made the necessary municipal genuflections and now Gabriel is sending me screenshots of his Speed Tests. I assume this is something that frequently occurs on Dating Apps, also; incredible throughput must be seen as a tantalizing inducement.
I was able to get fiber when it hit my neighborhood a while ago, and I don't know how we would have navigated a world like the one we were given, where other people were considered poisonous and we needed to project digital avatars of ourselves everywhere. Let alone streaming, or some other commonplace data activity - you needed it to exist! Obviously, now it's just for downloading Baldur's Gate 3 and then uninstalling it repeatedly. Those are the heights to which we can aspire.
Now! I did make a post here, but there is also a Tweeter with all the cool things my friends made for PAX West and I want it to go into your eyeballs:
I would also like to call out for extra special mention the deeply handsome keycap set, though. This one! I need this pretty bad. There is also a bag! But I'm focusing on the right side of the image.
It is entirely possible that I will see you this weekend, and I hope to! My friend Mork will also be there, and we're resuscitating our Q&A + the Make-A-Strip, both sacred and ancient traditions of the show we will use to consecrate the new venue. See you then!
