I mean, not really. But it would be on brand.
Mork has played B6 a ton. It's one of those games where you have to go suck dicks on Twitch to gain access, like a VIP Room. When he told me he just had to watch however many minutes to gain access for PS5, I told him that I was on Steam, where ripe, golden grain sways in the summer heat. I just had to click a button and I was in, calling to mind a televised hacking scenario. I was definitely wrong, though. It installed, but everything was locked. God only knows what kind of twisted, forlorn dicks I gotta jump on now. Whatever dicks are left.
The most fun I ever had with Battlefield was actually with a Battlefield Mod called Desert Combat, the full tale of which is traumatic to say the least. Then that mod sorta… became Battlefield? I dipped out of the traditional releases and jumped over to Battlefield: Bad Company, which is maybe like becoming a Forza Horizon Man after cutting my teeth on the originals. It just did what I wanted to do and lots of people were there to do it with.
I thought I might pop in for Battlefield 2042, but its grim vision of the future shook me to my core. Battlefield 6 is now whirling in some complex narrative vortex about whether or not we are "back," and a substantially altered team and process behind it is both evidence of a fresh start and also a "stranger danger" style cause for alarm. I'll let you know what I think after I've pull-started a few of these wastrel demigods.
(CW)TB out.
