I ended up grabbing a plain white deck box for my Gundam deck because it felt appropriate for the RX-78, but once I got home it just started to look like a blank canvas.
The box itself has a sort of leather-like texture similar to some shoes. A normal pencil didn’t show up but a colored pencil did. So I sketched out a little Gundam doodle on the bottom of the box so that if I fucked it up it wouldn’t be super obvious.
Got a white deck box for my Gundam cards and wondered if I could draw on it and I can. Interesting. I may have to break out some markers.

I liked the sketch and decided to see if I could color it with some markers. I don’t have anything fancy because I don’t work traditionally these days but I do have some Ohuhu pens that I hoped would not bleed.
Some deck box art for my Gundam deck. I did this as a test on the bottom in case it didn't work but now I have plans.

I think there are probably better paints or pens I could use but I was actually really happy with how this came out! I am going to try and cover the rest of the deck box and then I figure I’ll hit it with some kind of clear coat and call it done.
