Forza Horizon 6 is doing numbers on Steam, and I'm glad - I think this series is the torchbearer for A Fun Racer That Is Just Technical Enough To Offer An Intriguing Skill Ceiling. That's a new subgenre I just made up. But apparently the game is fun, and works on computers - a powerful combo that's delivered real results in Q2. The only issue Morak has identified to me are the faces, which… well, I'll show you. They aren't faces in the classic sense, they're more like a fongoid "fruiting body":

Tag urself, I guess. I'm either "Mild Max" or "Stop Fucking Farting."
Too much hot shit is coming out in the space of 24 hours and I don't know what to do. I feel like the guy who drank that pop and then hit his head on the garage door; just utterly betwixt.
1. Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core
I already talked about this, but it's a Roguelite from the DRG weirdoes set on the same doomed rock. It does something I really like from Slay The Spire 2, and the only other time I've seen this dynamic has been in competitive deckbuilders like Hero Realms that you can play in teams. Essentially, when a set of upgrades comes up, it's not exclusive to you - everybody has to choose who gets what. It's a really simple little thing but it makes the upgrades feel like true team resources. It's cool. It's out now in Early Access - here's the Trailer!
You know my thing about Games Having Lineage like a living thing does, it has a kind of parentage; it doesn't come from nowhere. Well, OtherSide Entertainment is a lotta Immersive Sim OGs and a bunch of drama so far. I hadn't paid any attention to them, I didn't grow up playing Ultima Underworld, so when they Kickstarted a return to it that was apparently borked I didn't know about that until today. But they've also dropped an immersive, co-op heist game for five dollars that looks like it might be a kind of artisanal friendslop? I mean, they'd be the ones to do it. This is like when the chef in The Menu made a cheeseburger. Right? It had Mixed Reviews already, but they were mostly of the Activist variety regarding rebinding keys or FOV sliders. Real fetish shit! (I'm joking. Well, kinda. In some ways, and about some things)
And then tomorrow, you've got Zero Parades For Dead Spies. I'm concerned that the game might house counterrevolutionary, revisionist, or even (God help us) wwestoid sympathies. I'm hoping for the best.
(CW)TB out.
